A few years ago there was a program on television in Guatemala whose host loved to bring on Mayan families and ridicule them on TV all the while seeming to be interviewing them on various subjects. “It was a real hoot”!!! One of his favorite comments or questions was when he caught a young kid scratching himself and he would ask him “pica papa?” meaning “does it itch dear?”
